If your release was rejected or sent back for corrections, below are common reasons why your release was not approved for distribution:
- Names and titles cannot include numeration (Song1, Song2, etc.)
- Using the same song titles and album titles on multiple releases
- Excessive use of special characters
- Using the name of an existing artist that is not yourself, or a trademarked phrase
- Using audio, or melodies that you do not have the rights to (no cover songs or samples)
- Your release must not promote hatred based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national/ethnic origin, or other identities
- Your release must not include specific encouragement of violence, or pornography
- Album art and graphics must be original and you must create new art for all releases
- Album art contains trademarks or logos from companies and brands
- Any album art that violates our content guidelines will be rejected or removed
